Gold Live Price is a Shopify application developed and operated by Thriftizer Solutions. Our app displays live gold and silver rates on Shopify jewellery stores and provides related tools for merchants and their customers.

2. What Data We Collect

2.1 Merchant Data (Store Owners)

When you install Gold Live Price, we access the following information from your Shopify store:

• Store name, domain and basic shop information
• Product data — product titles, variants, and prices (to calculate and update jewellery prices)
• Metafields — gold weight, purity, making charges stored against your products
• Theme information — to display widgets correctly on your storefront
• Shopify access token — to perform authorised API operations on your behalf

2.2 Customer Data (Storefront Visitors)

We do not collect, store or process any personal data from your store's customers. The widgets displayed on your storefront (rate ticker, price breakup, AI chat, calculator) are entirely client-side or use anonymised data only.

• AI chat interactions are processed in real-time and not stored
• No customer names, emails, or addresses are ever accessed
• No tracking cookies or analytics are placed on your storefront

2.3 Technical Data

• App usage logs for debugging and performance monitoring
• Error logs — to identify and fix issues quickly
• Widget settings you configure in the admin dashboard

3. How We Use Your Data

We use the data we collect exclusively to provide the app's functionality:

• Product pricing — to calculate jewellery prices based on live gold rates, weight, purity and making charges
• Widget display — to serve the correct rate information to your storefront visitors
• App settings — to save your widget configuration and preferences
• Support — to diagnose issues when you contact us
• Billing — processed entirely through Shopify's own billing system; we never see your payment details

We never sell, rent or share your data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

4. Data Storage & Security

Our application is hosted on Railway (railway.app), a secure cloud infrastructure provider with industry-standard security practices.

• All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encryption
• Shopify access tokens are stored securely in an encrypted database
• We follow Shopify's security best practices for embedded apps
• We do not store sensitive customer information

5. Third-Party Services

Gold Live Price uses the following third-party services:

• Shopify API — for store integration and authentication (Shopify Privacy Policy)
• Gold rate data provider — anonymised metal rate data. No store or customer data is shared
• Railway hosting — application infrastructure (Railway Privacy Policy)

6. Data Retention

• Your app settings and product metafields are stored for as long as the app is installed
• Upon uninstalling the app, we process a shop redact request within 48 hours and permanently delete all associated data
• Error logs are automatically purged after 30 days

7. Your Rights (GDPR & Privacy)

If you are located in the European Union or other regions with data protection laws, you have the following rights:

• Access — request a copy of the data we hold about your store
• Correction — request correction of any inaccurate data
• Deletion — request deletion of your data (uninstalling the app triggers automatic deletion)
• Portability — request your data in a portable format
• Objection — object to certain processing of your data

8. Shopify GDPR Compliance

Gold Live Price complies with all Shopify mandatory GDPR requirements:

• We handle customer data requests — merchants can request what data we hold
• We handle customer redact requests — we delete customer data upon request
• We handle shop redact requests — all store data is deleted upon app uninstall

9. Children's Privacy

Gold Live Price is a B2B application intended for Shopify merchants. We do not knowingly collect data from individuals under the age of 18.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify merchants of significant changes via email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
